Who Can Be Sponsored Under the Family Sponsorship Program?

Eligibility Criteria for Sponsors
To sponsor a family member, the sponsor must meet the following requirements:

✔ Reside in Canada (or plan to return after sponsoring)
✔ Meet Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) requirements (for parents and grandparents)
✔ Sign a financial undertaking to support the sponsored person
✔ Not be receiving social assistance (except for disability benefits)
